They don’t teach us right
Life? It’s messy. Today, yesterday, tomorrow, it’s just messy.
What do we yearn for though? I always thought that having someone to call your home is the answer to most troubles. Until I realized there cannot be a “human-home”, we don’t name any human our own. And it hurts. We just want a place we can exhale in. Release. Know that we’re safe and that tomorrow will feel fine. But they don’t tell you that that doesn’t exist, in fact, they teach you the exact opposite. With their movies, their stories, their teachings, their whole system.
We’re not taught to make it on our own. We are not given lessons on how to get ready to face some of life’s worst scenarios.
Whether it’s flunking your exam, losing your job, or losing a loved one. They don’t teach us shit. We go through life misled, misled into thinking it’s all about the profession, the title, and our income.
Do they ever tell us what to do in case of shock? How to face a drastic situation. Nope. They allow the damage to happen and then they offer their help.
I don’t understand how this functions anymore. We’ve reached the year 2021 and we still don’t know how to face death. Our mind and every atom in our body know that it’s inevitable, yet we get shocked, traumatized, confused, mind-fucked, and left in despair. You want to tell me they couldn’t have helped us out with that? They could cause it. They could cause death, but they couldn’t find ways to teach us how to take it in and get over it a little bit faster.
